THE RESOURCE: 60x60

Listen in on how 60 successful women-run businesses share how they create income with their laser machines in just 60 seconds each—to empower you to do the same!

The Mission: To inspire female laser owners by showcasing what's possible for their businesses, while growing our audiences and fostering a spirit of collaboration in the laser community

The Opportunity: Reach a combined audience that could easily be over 600K+ and further establish yourself as a leader, educator, and collaborator in our community

The Prompt: Share one way you use your laser or lasered products to generate income (scroll down for inspiration)

SUBMISSION DETAILS:

  • Please submit your video HERE by August 1st. Video must be Filmed horizontally in at least 1080p resolution, no more than 60 seconds in length.

  • Include a 3rd-person bio of 75-100 words and square headshot along with a link to an offer or website page which will be compiled into a PDF, available to all who watch the completed project.

TIMELINE:

  • I plan on launching the project on Sept. 4th

  • I ask that each participant share the link with their audience at least once within two weeks of the release, I’ll provide swipe copy and graphics.

FILMING TIPS:

  • Consider filming in your workspace with your laser or products in view, or against a neutral backdrop with good lighting.

  • Your video doesn’t need to be cinematic quality, filming with a newer phone is fine! But if you have the setup I won’t discourage using a good mic, lighting, and 4K resolution either :)

  • I recommend cutting in b-roll as you talk about your story or products. Showing your process or your products in action will level up the video—think similar to a reel or tiktok video.

CONTENT INSPIRATION:

The Prompt: Share one way you use your laser or lasered products to generate income. Teach us something that you’ve learned, such as “here are my 3 tips for starting out in wholesaling” or “here is my favorite technique and the 3 steps to take to get started.” The best videos are specific and actionable!

Start by introducing yourself and your business, don’t shy away from sharing your accomplishments! My inspiration for the 60x60 formatting comes from this project (p.s. Bonnie’s my business coach, I have her permission!), it may be helpful to watch a few minutes of the video on that page for submission ideas.

Here are some brainstorming questions to help get you started:

  • What steps did you take to grow from a small side-hustle to where you are today?

  • What is something unique about your process or products that would be interesting or helpful to others?

  • What platforms, gear, or tech do you especially love or rely on?

  • What do you wish you would have known when you were just getting started in your business?

  • What’s something you struggled with and how did you overcome it?

  • Was there a moment or shift in your mindset that was a game-changer for you and your business?

  • What makes you really good at what you do?

  • What do your friends turn to you for business advice about?

Or, you could start with what you want to teach, such as:

TWO EXAMPLES of things I could share:

#1 My offer: a link to my free class on launching an SVG shop: Hi I’m Liz, owner of Bela Collective and one way I use my laser to create income is by selling digital SVG files on Etsy. When I first got my laser four years ago, I had never opened a design program before and had no plans to sell digital files. But when I couldn’t find designs on Etsy that I liked, I took the leap to start making my own and I’ve been creating files ever since! After over 50K file sales, I’ve learned a lot about the types of files that sell (and don’t sell!) on Etsy. Here are the top three things that all of my bestselling files have in common:...I hope this inspires you to create even more digital files!

#2 My offer: a link to a webpage with my Skillshare class link and a PDF download on getting started in laser education: Hey I’m Liz, I run the SVG file shop Bela Collective and one way I’ve grown my business is by teaching about laser file designing on Skillshare. Skillshare is perfect for getting started with teaching because they walk you through the entire process of creating your class, from your beginning brainstorming to your final edits. Once your class is live, you get paid monthly based on how many minutes of your class are watched that month, and it feels great getting that monthly payment without having to do any new work! The most intimidating thing for me about creating my first class was not actually the writing and creating part, it was all of the new tech and filming gear I needed to research and buy. So to save you some headache, here are my 5 must-have pieces of gear for filming your first class:...Happy filming!

YOUR OFFER:

  • Everyone will have the opportunity to to include a link with their bio in the PDF directory. This could be a link to any product or discount you think the laser owner audience would be drawn to, or this could be as simple as a link to the “about me” section on your website or socials—free or paid, it’s up to you!

  • I encourage you to get strategic! If you don’t currently have a class or product that’s targeted towards laser owners, I suggest creating a simple PDF in Canva with the outline of your video submission. Connect it to a form on your website so you can start collecting emails for if/when you create a product or offer for laser owners. And don’t forget your laser affiliate links!

*Now it might feel counter-intuitive to share the “secrets” to your success—it did to me at first too! But there’s this funny little principle called reciprocity, where the more you give away the more someone likes, trusts, and wants to buy from you. I can speak from experience that it really works this way! At the beginning of my education journey I was encouraged to give away so much that it hurt at least little bit. That’s been my filter ever since and I can honestly say I’ve never regretted it.

OTHER DETAILS:

  • The title of the project may change depending on the number of submissions I receive, I’ll keep you in the loop. If you have suggestions of others who may want to be included, shoot me an email!

  • The final video and directory will live on my website and will always be free to watch (users will enter their email to gain access).

  • In the unlikely event that a submission is deemed unsuitable for the project, I reserve the right to exclude it from the final video and will communicate with you about it.
