Job Title: File Tester & Photographer

Location: Remote, open to US residents only

Job Type: Contract, paid per project

Compensation: $20 per completed file (generally $250-$400/month), materials provided, permission to sell physical products using the provided files, free subscription to The SVG Society.

Job Description: Bela Collective is seeking a detail-oriented and design-savvy contractor to print laser-cut SVG files and deliver high-quality photographs of the finished products. This role plays a key part in helping Bela Collective and The SVG Society bring modern, minimal SVG designs to life—ensuring that files are functional, beautiful, and visually compelling to our community.

Each month, you’ll receive a set of 15+ SVG files to test and photograph. You will cut these files using your own CO2 laser machine (e.g., Glowforge, Thunder, etc.) and photograph them in a way that aligns with Bela Collective’s modern, clean aesthetic. Acrylic materials will either be provided or covered via a monthly stipend, and you’ll be required to use the official Bela Collective color palette in coordination with the design team.

Responsibilities:

  • Cut assigned SVG files using your own CO2 laser machine

  • Use Bela Collective’s brand color palette (materials provided or reimbursed)

  • Photograph finished products in natural light, capturing:

    • Two clean flat lays: one in vertical orientation and one in horizontal

    • One vertical video panning the flatlay

  • Upload final photo sets in organized folders to Google Drive or Dropbox

  • Communicate proactively with the design team regarding color selection, styling, or material questions

  • Offer feedback on file usability when needed for product improvement

Requirements:

  • Access to and experience with your own CO2 laser machine

  • Experience working with both wood and acrylic materials, including paint filling engravings

  • Strong product photography skills with a clean, consistent editing style

  • Ability to style and shoot in natural light

  • Eye for design and experience working within a brand aesthetic

  • Organized and responsive with reliable turnaround times

  • Familiarity with shared folders and file delivery systems (Google Drive or Dropbox)

  • Comfortable using (or learning) Bela Collective’s provided brand guidelines and creative direction

Ideal Candidate: We’re looking for someone who values both precision and beauty—a creative with a technical eye, a strong sense of design, and a desire to collaborate on meaningful visual work. You enjoy making things look good and work well, and you're excited about contributing to a growing, modern brand with heart.

Please submit your most thoughtful application and follow all instructions carefully. We're looking for team members who reflect Bela Collective’s commitment to excellence, kindness, and intentional design.

How to Apply: Complete the application by July 9th. Our team will review submissions and reach out either way by July 14th.
